Bamboo crochet hook challenge
I’ve been mulling around this freeform/freestyle idea. I have more bits and pieces of this and that type of yarns and threads I will (maybe) never be able to use up in my lifetime soooo… I have a set of bamboo hooks that I plan to use each size to develop a piece using each… Read more

Denim “Squishy”
Made another lapel squishy” but this time I changed from the single safety pin back to two butterfly pin backs. This gives it more opportunity to be twisted. I like ease of putting on than the safety pin back. You can see the pictures of the backs of the previous one. Read more

Novelty yarn necklace
I have a few tops that have these colors in them and decided to make one for them. Using novelty yarn can be a challenge if you use just it, so, I used a carrier yarn (black #3 thread) to help the novelty from tangling too badly as I crocheted. I used a side closure… Read more

Have you tried a smaller hook size?
I have been crocheting and observing crochet for a good part of 50 years now. I conclude that the requirement of “stitch to twist” is very much of an importance to crochet. As an experimental crocheter (never wanted to follow a pattern) for its entirety. I have made sewing thread crochet to felted crochet. The… Read more

Which color will I use?
I’m starting a new necklace and here might be the colors I will use. I will be using the novelty yarn but can’t decide the thread colors. As I look at the threads, the blue give off a summer vibe. The orange that is brighter seems to be generic as it will go summer into… Read more

Finished a new necklace
I wanted to try this for a while to see if it works. I would say it did. As with the other ones the piece is slightly moldable so it will set nicely around your neck. If you round it off more it will sit a little higher to accommodate a different neckline. This is… Read more

I could just stare at this
I’m working up a new necklace and the yarn I’m using, I could just stare at it for hours. Each new row of SC makes me want to not go any further but then I also want to go farther. I considered adding a black tread to this but I actually don’t want to interrupt… Read more
