Next statement necklace

I am working up a new necklace using this fun yarn. This one will be a statement necklace.

I am contemplating interchangeable side pieces from the main piece.

As you can see in the fourth picture I have on each side these barrel screw in clasps.

So now that I want to have a different color on the neck pieces I can unscrew and add a different color.

I am also thinking that even the main piece can be chained out too.
