“Will I Remain Neutral” finished
I framed “Will I Remain Neutral” today. Painted the back in chocolate brown chalk paint (I prefer the chalk paint as it has a no shine finish) This one has a lot more depth and finesse to it. If you want to see it process check out this link and look for the title. https://daisyhillstudio.art.blog/metamorphosis-at-work/ Read more

Ready for framing
“Not Quite Fall” is finished in the design stage and is now ready for framing. The mini twin is done too. This one turned out to have an Indian vibe, like a horse blanket feel or a Kachina doll. Haven’t decided on the framing yet but will be simple. Read more

“Just Peachy”

Accident or on purpose?
I made this piece the other day. I felted it and here is the outcome. Was it an accident or did I do this on purpose? I am gifted yarns from time to time. most know that I only request felting wool. However, I do use novelty (non-felting) yarns too. Many times the skein bands Read more

I’ve got a speck
I have wanted to attempt a style I call speck work. This is crocheting all in one color then going back in and just put in specks of colors. I was wanting to do all in wool but…I had this stuff called “Pretty Punch” threads so decided to see how this reacted with the felting Read more

New stitch, maybe
I have been working in half doubles and like them for my work but I decided that I will try the below stitch. It is not a double crochet stitch but a broken half double. I think I might not need as big a hook as I usually use (this is an “L”) using this Read more

Another new concept
I decided I wanted to do an all cream colored wool design then add the color after it is crocheted. It will then get felted. I think that the color will be contained near where it gets crochet it. Maybe will be like tie dyed look. We shall see. I bought the yarn from https://brownsheep.com/ Read more
