  • Another new concept

I decided I wanted to do an all cream colored wool design then add the color after it is crocheted. It will then get felted. I think that the color will be contained near where it gets crochet it. Maybe will be like tie dyed look. We shall see. I bought the yarn from https://brownsheep.com/ Read more

  • I wonder

I might be just thinking out loud but I wonder if I ran several strands of wool yarn or roving and then crocheted over it with non crocheted novelty if it would felt up leaving the non-felting to bubble above the felted wool. Hummmm. Might have to try it sometime. Read more

  • Do frames make the art or art make the frame?

As I have started having my work become more wall art type, framing them has started to challenge the bottom line. I had been making the pieces and then finding frames or having them framed. Framing Fiber-art has its challenges because shadow boxes can be too deep. Regular framing with glass squishes the art. Framing Read more

  • What will this transform into?

Since I began using #burlap in my work, I found this piece at a retail store and it should become an interesting piece once I #crochet then #felt it in my old washing machine. It is dimensional with the extra burlap strips. Can’t wait to get started on it. Read more

  • Dying for crochet?

Has any yarn dyers ever thought about dying for crocheter? Does it really matter, you ask? Well look at the anatomy of knitting and crochet stitches and you can see that crochet stores need more length for color and color changes. Also to have a niche market of crocheter buying the yarns. Crochet is coming Read more
