I found these gray felt zipped bags and decided to make a crochet/felted cover for them. Here is the first one. I still will embellish it. So glad I was able to crochet then felt it to fit the pouch. The wool yarn is from #brownsheepcompany. I added a little beading around the top just Read more

“Psychedelic”
Well I went a little “Psychedelic” on this piece. No drugs of any kind were used! Just a jumble of yarns. We were talking in our Tri-state Artist Guild meeting today about just taking paint and throwing it on the canvas onto the floor. This would be my response to that in fiber. I reworked Read more

Sand and dusty blue bag
This art bag is the first of alternating front and back post HDC . I like the visual of the stitches. Let’s hope using a P hook will bind together good. The unfelted is: 12”X 14” they look a little wonky because of the loose stitches but should square off once felted. Read more

Update on green eggs and ham
It thrills me when the piece begins to bend and twist into a shape. I have to restrain myself from taking it to the ironing board to press flat just to turn around later and manipulate it into its current state before the ironing. It’s hard to see in photos of the dips and raising Read more

Love of crochet cont.
As I work on this designing using front post half double waffle stitch. I intend to weave yarns through the open spaces. Currently the fabric is soft and pliable. This would make a great clothing stitch. I wanted to have the same design on both sides so when weaving other yarns in offered the balance Read more

For the love of crochet
Once finished with my last two pieces I went looking for another project. At first I thought to get back into my crochet felting vibe but I love crocheting. The use of stitches to achieve the look I want plus the ease of manipulation of the fabric to form shapes inspires me constantly. The last Read more
