Soft green and golden mustard firecracker has the look of a sea urchin. Made with soft green bubbles of many shapes along with golden bugle beads topped gold balls. Read more

“Wrapped Candy” ovum
I was gifted some interesting yarn. And once I looked closer at it, it was tubelike. I decided to see if I liked it pulled over my ovum. It was fun! The beads were sewn in the cross hatches and additional beads in the in between parts. A little gold beads for a glimmer. The Read more

“Apple Blossoms” ovum
Here are steps and the finished ovum. Used olive green flat chenille for the raised stems, white felted flowers with brass flowers and brass leaves. Red and green beads, burgundy crochet thread for French knots and fuchsia glitter threads all on a taupe felted ovum. Read more

“Studley” ovum
Having different types of leather laying around I decided to make a masculine type of ovum. Using brass studs, studded leather suede strips and brass nails to evoke that masculine look on a rust felted ovum. Read more

Firecracker in rust and yellows
I really like the way this turned out. The two shades of peach russet and buttercream yellow with complimentary beading. Flecks of gold adds to its dimension. This also can be posed but is not a toy. Length is approximately 9” and the width without beadwork is approximately 1”. Read more

“Weaving Pastel” Ovum
This one does not show up as well as I would like in photos. The colors are subtle and needs to be seen from all sides. it has a lot of depth. I’m showing with and without backgrounds. Read more

Really like the mint color of this one. Just enough glitz to grab your attention. Lots of visual impact to want to pick it up and observe the design. I have added statin ribbon buds to this. Adds a little more elegance to the piece. Read more

Soft blue and Lavender Firecracker
Going to the softer side of these. Soft delft blue with lavender and opalescent beading. Blue paper flowers with opalescent centers add a little glitz. These can be posed in different poses but… are not toys because of the delicate embellishments used. Read more

“Neutral” firecracker
This one I wrapped the base with crocheted transitional color yarn then reinforced the sides with complimentary embroidery yarn. Next I wove eyelash yarn that fit in the color scheme through the band that I wound around. French knots and glass beads were added. Finally the mustard colored beads were added. Finished another firecracker. This one is a little thinner than the others. So many possibilities. It’s fun to reshape them to see different angles. Read more
