Taking a break from the orbs (still working in the round😊) and working on a beaded pillow. These colors are to me, a beautiful combination. Subtle, tonal and calming. Poodle Skirt – orb
Pink is not a color I work with often as it’s not my preferred color. The black felted orb just said make me pink so.. I listened to the orb. Once finished I felt it called the 50s poodle skirts. Read more

Gypsy Rose orb
Felted burgundy orb turquoise, white and gold. I played off the center cummerbund for the colors. It kind of reminded me of Gypsy colors. Read more

Installation complete

Experiment on orb
I decided to see what would happen when I wet the felted orb then paint acrylic paint on it before embellishing on it. I wanted it to bleed a little then have paint on top. We shall see how it ends up once it is dry and embellished. Read more

Dot, Dot, Dot
Using variegated yarn in purple, pinks, lime green and deep fuchsia colors and adding raised pieces before felting that gave hills and valleys after felting. Took same wool and made loose French knots in those valleys then added matching beads in lines to give it a running colors around it. Added some filigree disks for Read more

Third Eye Orb
In my continued efforts in the orb field I complete an interesting one. This developed slowly and I wanted to show restraint in filling the orb with lots of things. I like the focus piece in the center and the square pieces that erupt outward but leaves open at the bottom. Read more
