Today after a long, long search I found the base to finish my large daisy soft sculpture. This will look like roots.

This art bag is the first of alternating front and back post HDC . I like the visual of the stitches. Letās hope using a P hook will bind together good. The unfelted is: 12āX 14ā they look a little wonky because of the loose stitches but should square off once felted.
-
I decided to try a front post back post stitch. This is to attempt to eliminate the crochet stitch lines from the rows and to blend the yarns together as they felt. Iām also going up a hook size from my normal size (M) to make it thinner and softer.
-
I wasnāt sure if I was bold enough to show this because of the setting however, I donāt have a swift and am forever rewinding yarns. I thought of this idea of using my office chair to use as a swift. Not a great idea but since Iām felting the wool anyway it doesnāt much…

To better understand my medium of process would stating it as felted crochet be understandable?

Still working away on this art bag. Itās coming along. As I look at it still has a long way to go. the photo does not do it justice.
-
Well continued work on it and it kinda took a different turn. The raised pieces are looking a little wormy. ššš

It thrills me when the piece begins to bend and twist into a shape. I have to restrain myself from taking it to the ironing board to press flat just to turn around later and manipulate it into its current state before the ironing. Itās hard to see in photos of the dips and raising…

I belong to an artist group (Tri-State Artist Guild) and had an art show last weekend. Here are a few pictures of my pieces. It was a two day show and was pretty well received. The establishment did not allow selling during the show but I did give out business cards.

I have been wanting one of those photo frames that show my works. The sizes Iāve seen have been too small. I saw this and said it will work. It does have to be plugged in but can take many different types of drives ( SD, flash and more). it will do videos too. I…

Started a new project. It is black andā¦.. what is whirling in my brain is fantastical. Black is an easy felt for some reason. Using M(9.00m) hook. I really like working with wooden hooks on wool. Smooth!! As I read today ātrust the processā. My hands a guided by the Devineāļø

I decided to show the beginnings of my felting process. I confess the base is crocheted. Then I machine felt it. Here are three different pieces ready for the felting process. The circles might be added to the striped piece after the felting. But⦠might be used as a stand alone.

Well I went off orbs for a while and now Iām back! This time working in the smaller ones. Can you guess what this will become? Progress.
-
What a rabbit hole I go down when I start working in orbs. I started off with large orb and now am looking into smaller orbs.
-
I have been reviewing my finished orbs and have begun to think again about getting back into orbit. I do have a few other projects to finish up on but of course that does not stop new projects from finding its way to my work tableš

I have a piece in the Artlink show in Fort Wayne that starts tonight. Itās called āWorm Holeā
-
I am a color lover. I found the book I recommend. Itās call āThe Secret Lives of Colorā.
-
This piece will be a challenge because I like it just the way it is however I hope to subtlety add without distracting from its simple beauty.
-
I know Iāve shown this before but felt it needed something else to finish it. I am content with it now.

My kind of town, for the Art museum, that is. We took a bus trip via the Midwest Museum of American Art in Elkhart Indiana. It was great fun and so much to see.
