Finished this piece a while back but was not convinced it was what I wanted to show. Well after relooking at it, it has strong color choices that I do not use often. I called it “Jetsonia” as a play off of the cartoon the Jetsons.

I finished framing several pieces yesterday so today was putting the picture wire and small D ring hangers on the back of them. Also reevaluating the ones that are done and touching up as needed. This is excruciating as I can see where this could have this done or that done but then stop myself…

I seem to be on a finishing jag. When this one was finished I see an Indian vibe. Something like a horse blanket. I enjoyed doing the embellishing. this is not the greatest photo of it. I framed “Will I Remain Neutral” today. Painted the back in chocolate brown chalk paint (I prefer the chalk paint as it has a no shine finish) This one has a lot more depth and finesse to it. If you want to see it process check out this link and look for the title. https://daisyhillstudio.art.blog/metamorphosis-at-work/…

“Not Quite Fall” is finished in the design stage and is now ready for framing. The mini twin is done too. This one turned out to have an Indian vibe, like a horse blanket feel or a Kachina doll. Haven’t decided on the framing yet but will be simple.

I’m having a tips and tricks week. After previous posts on magnets I came across another tip/trick. I wanted to have my beads to remain a certain distance from each other I thought well adding just a little super glue to them will keep them in place so when I add the beading to tie…

Well my last post was about my new magnet idea and now I have gone even further. I glued a round magnet on each of my needle threaders and a strip of magnetic paper to the inside of my needle case (in case the needles get loose inside the case).

I use lots of different needles in my designing and was always having trouble loosing them, OUCH! Always finding them in my foot, well I found these magnetic sheets and round magnets so when I need to pick a needle to use I open the holder and poor them onto the magnetic sheet. I thread…

The “mini twin” for “Kicking it Old School Modern “ did not get done before the piece got put in the old Maytag so I decided to hand felt it.

Started this piece and its title from the yarn pictured. I incorporated the yarn in the piece and used it as the jumping off point to make it. It was felted yesterday and still have re-shearing and embellishing to be done. I will show more progress as I work on it and once finished it…
