I’ve been working on this piece for a while waiting for a few finishing touches to come together and they did over the weekend. Drift wood, seashells, beads and baubles.

Well this one called to me this morning so I worked on it diligently and I think it is my new favorite. I titled it “Stalagmite”.

The orb that gave me pause is now complete and its name is “Challenger” since it was almost trash canned🤪 I actually found I liked the way it turned out.

This one almost didn’t make it. The felting was clumsy and did not felt as deeply as it usually does not even after a second try. I decided to crochet navy blue thread and variegated thread to see if that could tie it together. It helped tremendously so am moving onto the addition of beading.…

Well had to say goodbye to the very nice show at the 2nd Floor Gallery in Churubusco. The fiber pieces were: These will be going onto a new show later in June.

Trying to get back into designing. I had caught the flu then we decided to sell a car and then Easter so now that that’s settled (for the most part) I can get back to work. I have 4 more spheres ready for felting, 1 burlap piece ready for felting and stated a new piece…

Started a new project. Interesting colors. Soft green, dark green chenille, purple and light orange. lots of depth and movement. The dark iridescent sequins glint just enough that you want to look closer.
