I decided to see what would happen when I wet the felted orb then paint acrylic paint on it before embellishing on it. I wanted it to bleed a little then have paint on top. We shall see how it ends up once it is dry and embellished.

I decided to experiment with cleaning up felted wool in a slightly different way. I usually shear it after it’s felted (and still will do) because all the fibers get fuzzy and slightly mask the original colors before the felting process. I decided to burn with a lighter the wool in places where the color…

I know it might seem that I am only doing orbs (ornaments/spheres) or whatever you call them but I am also working on an art bag too. They take longer to create but very satisfying. These are the colors I am using. The bag base is a wool blanket. It will be in during the…

Is this the luck of the Irish? Beautiful vibrant green felted orb decorated in silver style four leaf clovers. Beautiful underneath as on top.

I have a show at a nearby Library at the end of this month so working away at planning, organizing, tagging, and packing. We have been blessed to have two cars so packing the car we will be taking to the library while still having a driving car makes it so much easier. The challenge…

I got this bag at a garage sale yesterday. I think it fits my needs. It does also stand up on a car seat so no tumbling around of my crochet/felting needs. plus it has a carrying shoulder strap too. No maiden voyage yet but here at the house it works good.

I was given many strands of 1960’s needlepoint wool and I have been sitting on it for quite a while because I thought I would use the strand individually but… my patience got the best of me. I decided to use all of it (99%) on one piece. I thought it will be the awesomeness…

Today was once again felting day. smalls and large #orbs, #spheres, #ornaments. It’s a good warm day to felt outdoors. Allowing them to dry on the line.

I opened a site with https://cara.app/cdlefty I hope it becomes another place for fiberartists can show their work. So far what I have seen is good.

I have finished this orb and can’t seem to title it. The titles up for choice are: Please let me know which one you would pick. Thanks in advance.

This took a turn from what I thought it was going to be but I’m very happy with how it turned out. #sphere, #ornament

This gray, and silver orb was so easy it almost made itself. My partner was taking a pair of shoe laces out of his long deteriorated shoes and I had the vision of that movement which led to the making of it. No these are not his shoelaces 😊 I just got the beads over…

I finished a second mini orb. This one is in burgundy. These are a challenge to embellish as the smallness of the size but definitely quicker to complete than the larger ones. These are a little larger than a ping pong ball.

Tried my hand at a mini orb. I like the way it turned out so will be make several more of these little guys. Felted the black orb also so have a few to work on this month.

Does this not just scream the 70’s colors? I was gifted this wool and have wanted to work in it for a while sooo taking a little time away from the orb make – not much though to work on this wool. I absolutely love working in old needlepoint wool❤️!

Look what happened today. Do you spy a few smaller ones? The little ones are experimental so will be interesting to see how they turn out.

I wanted to use some bendable wire on the orbs and this natural one begged to use the purple color wire. The wrapped wool sets it off.
