Sorting day update
I have been working on the red piece and was looking for particular yarns so this morning, I decided I wanted to begin sorting my smalls. The clear bins are from granola plastic containers. I like that they have lids and are stackable. Wish me luck. Read more

This is where I have started to add beads and reinforced the folds. they are side 1 and side 2. More embellishing will be done. Read more

Stage 2 red
I decided to use multi colored yarn to accentuate the red. Crocheted a long piece and stitched it down then stitched around the edge. Now to fold it up a bit. Read more

Different green
Well, I had a piece I had cut away from the folded green and decided to work with that first. It’s kind of an envelope shape with an ear mark. Using that found some crescent green shell shapes and attached them with silver decorative earring pieces. So far so good. Read more

Random red
Here is another accidental folded crocheted felted wool piece I pulled out. Interesting folds at either end. I feel this longer piece should be sliced into small pieces. Read more

Green crocheted felt
I went through my finished crocheted felted pieces that I had in a tote bag and pulled out this green piece. Because I did not carefully lay it flat it got bunched up. When looking at it in its current state I thought, what a great soft sculpture look. As I turned it this way Read more

*Tip- Working with thread
When I worked as a floral designer I found this tape that worked well to protect my fingers. I found it to work great in my thread crochet work too. As you can see I make a type of thimble on my middle finger and just a strip where the yarn/thread crosses my other finger. Read more

Manipulation
From time to time I manipulate the felted piece with fishing line. I don’t hide the line as I will crochet over it as well as manipulate the shape. This shows the weight (25lb) on this piece. On bigger pieces I will use 50lb. Read more

Fiber Blessings
I was at the time, unknowingly blessed. I worked for a company that manufactured goods that used many different types of threads and leather swatches. They were getting rid of all of these so I was given them. I see now it as a wonderful blessing. Read more

Smalls neutral beaded
I finished another small piece in my series. This is crocheted wool yarn felted then cotton threads stitched into it. Complimentary beads scattered throughout. Additional novelty yarns are added. Read more

Finished-Small brown swirl
