*Tip- Working with thread

When I worked as a floral designer I found this tape that worked well to protect my fingers. I found it to work great in my thread crochet work too. As you can see I make a type of thimble on my middle finger and just a strip where the yarn/thread crosses my other finger. The tape is cushioning but smooth so the thread goes over it easily. The tape as a thimble cushions the hook as it slides into the stitch without poking my middle finger. It stays on and does not shift around. The color of the tape is good because one can see the stitches clearly as you work.

The tape is called “Nexcare” first aid tape. And can be found at most big box stores and in big box pharmacies.
