One takes a chance whenever you are gifted, purchase old wool or wool that no longer has a label. Well this piece is a perfect example of the known, unknown.
The many of the grays did not felt and left these large open holes in the piece. I had to set it aside for several months and was on the verge of being tossed in the garbage.
Last week I decided to see if I could use the unfelted areas to its advantage and here is the outcome.
It still needs to be framed but it has been selected and should be framed by the end of the month.
