Skewer?

I like to buy theses multi packed beads because of the color assortment plus less expensive but most times I only want one color out of the pack for a certain design I’m working on. I have used tweezers or needle nose pliers but today I decide to try a skewer. It worked great for what I am doing.

I decided I could sharpen it down more if I wanted to pick up more beads but decided I would use it as it was as I was not picking up a lot of them. I like that the wood does not allow the bead to slip off.
