I’ve been dying to know…

As a crochet-felter, I have wondered if the wool dyers have considered the #dying sections of crochet stitches? I think the crocehting stitch is longer than knitted stitches. Since I think think they are, the color changes in the crochet stitch need to be longer dye sections. Has any #dyers noticed this? Would any wool dyers try this and let me know what they find?
